What does Tipski cost hotels?

Hotels pay $0. Tipski takes a 15% platform fee from tips only—covering payment processing, technology, and operations. Guests see the final total at checkout.

Do guests need to download an app?

No. Guests scan a room QR card, choose an amount, and tip in their mobile browser—no app, no account, no friction.

How do housekeepers receive their tips?

Tips are paid via Stripe Express to the housekeeper’s bank. After Stripe processes the tip, funds typically arrive in 2–3 business days, depending on bank and country.

Are guests prompted to leave a Google review?

Yes. After tipping, guests see an optional prompt linking to your property’s Google review page—this increases the volume of genuine 5‑star reviews.

Is payment and data security handled?

Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe. Tipski does not store card numbers. PCI compliance is handled via Stripe, and personal data is managed in line with GDPR/CCPA.

Can tips be refunded?

Refunds can be requested through support. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe; we notify the hotel and the housekeeper as applicable.

How are tips attributed to staff?

Housekeepers claim rooms by scanning a QR code. Tips sent for claimed rooms are attributed automatisally; unclaimed tips are split among all active housekeeping staff.

Where should QR codes be placed?

Tipski has seen the best results when QR codes are placed on the inside of room doors, bathroom mirrors, or desks—anywhere guests naturally look during checkout or room exit.

How are QR codes displayed?

You choose: durable waterproof stickers (4x6 size) that adhere to any surface in the room, or elegant framed QR cards for desk or counter placement. Both are premium quality and available for every suite.
