Terms of Service

Last updated: November 22, 2025

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tipski platform (“Service”) operated by Tipski LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement to use our platform.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and any activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected compromise of your account.

3. Services & Payments

Tipski enables electronic tipping between hotel guests and hospitality staff. All payments are processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. Tipski collects the full amount of each tip and then allocates that amount according to the hotel's configuration, which may include:

  • A platform fee retained by Tipski,
  • An optional share allocated to the hotel (where enabled), and
  • The remaining portion allocated to eligible staff members.

We do not guarantee the performance, uptime, or approval decisions of these third-party services.

4. Stripe Payments & Payouts

All payments and payouts are facilitated by Stripe. By using Tipski, you agree to comply with Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement. Stripe is solely responsible for identity verification, account approval, withholding of funds, and payout timing. Tipski does not control or guarantee whether a staff member or hotel is approved for payouts or how long Stripe may take to release funds.

5. Unclaimed or Unassigned Tips

Tipski uses room-based claims and hotel configurations to determine which staff members are eligible to receive tips. When a guest submits a tip, the payment is processed immediately and the guest's transaction is complete and non-refundable.

A tip is considered "unclaimed" or "unassigned" if, at the time the tip is processed:

  • No staff member has an active claim on the room, or the claim has expired,
  • The intended recipient does not have a connected or verified Stripe account, or
  • There is no eligible individual staff member to directly assign the tip to under the hotel's configuration.

In these cases, after the applicable platform fee and any configured hotel share are taken, the remaining staff portion of the tip is distributed among active, eligible staff members for that hotelaccording to Tipski's internal allocation rules (for example, by evenly splitting among active staff who are connected and verified to receive payouts).

Unclaimed or unassigned tips are not held in escrow for any particular individual and will not be reallocated later if a specific staff member later becomes eligible. Guests are informed that Tipski facilitates tipping for hotel housekeeping teams as a whole, and that the exact distribution of tips among staff may vary by hotel configuration and staff eligibility.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not use the Service for any illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or disruptive activities. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines or otherwise misuse the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including branding, software, text, graphics, and designs, is owned by Tipski or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at our discretion, with or without notice, especially for violations of these Terms or suspected fraudulent or abusive activity.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tipski is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Tipski makes no warranty that any particular staff member or hotel will be eligible, verified, or approved to receive payouts, and we are not liable for any lost earnings or expected earnings resulting from Stripe verification failures, ineligible accounts, or unclaimed/unassigned tips.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or via email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
